2. Lake Raponda – A 212-acre natural freshwater lake with 3 miles of shoreline. Motorized boats permitted, along with kayaks, canoes, fishing and a beach. https://raponda.org

Lake Whitingham (Harriman Reservoir) – A clear 2,036-acre lake with 28 miles of shoreline that borders and curves around a section of the Green Mountain National Forest – the largest lake entirely within the borders of Vermont. 4. Molly Stark State Park - Named for the famous wife of General John Stark of the Revolutionary War, who campaigned for a smallpox vaccination. The park is located along the Molly Stark Trail Scenic Byway (State Route 9), the main east-west route in Southern Vermont that connects Brattleboro, Wilmington and Bennington. Vermont Country Store - The Vermont Country Store was opened in 1946 in the quaint village of Weston, Vermont and was inspired by childhood memories of the founder’s father’s general store in North Calais, Vermont. 19. Nomad Chefs Food Truck - 661 Rte. 100 - Located next to the River Valley market. Unique food truck serving Ramen, rice bowls, and steam buns. Great food with interesting seasoning. A real threat and a nice change. Open Thursday to Sunday, noon to 7. Zach and Bernella are you hosts.

20.RVQ Smokehouse Food Truck - 661 Rte. 100 - located next to the River Valley Market with the Nomad Chef Food Track. Fantastic BBQ specials. Unbelievable ribs, brisket and pulled pork. Great sides. Chicken wings. One of our favorite food stops that we use frequently. Open Thursday to Sunday, noon to 7 if not away at some food festival. A personal favorite. Dan is your host.

21. Shital’s Indian Vegetarian Food - 6 Abroad Rd., West Dover. Outstanding vegetarian Indian home cooked. Hard to believe you would find something this good in Wilmington, VT. Take out only. Friday 12-8, Saturday 3:30-8. 802-464-3911.
