McGovern-Modern Chalet- At the Hermitage. Hot Tub, A/C, EV @ Mt Snow

The house is beautiful! Everything is brand new, there is plenty of space for larger groups, and central air is a plus. Only thing that was a bit of a downside is the house is located at the bottom of a rocky hill, so if folks are looking to do bike riding or walking nearby the house, they would need to seek other options. But overall a great experience!

Wonderful home, wish we could stay in this house each weekend!

My 11-year-old daughter and I just returned from 37 McGovern Lane in Wilmington, VT for a weekend getaway. Wow!! Stepping inside upon our arrival, this magnificent home took our breath away. From the timeless interior design with a perfect balance of both luxury and warmth to the stunning views, this home immediately captured our hearts. While the ski season had not yet gotten underway, there are certainly plenty of mountains nearby and we plan to go back as soon as there is enough snow to get our skiing in. Instead, we took lots of walks in the forests and drives into town exploring the charming surrounding areas. One of our favorite things to do after a day outside in the crisp Vermont air was to indulge in the hot tub on the back patio. This weekend we were treated to a perfect view of the full moon rising up above the trees while soaking in the spa. While guests can take their pick from any of the pristine four fireplaces, we loved making a roaring fire in the wood-burning fieldstone fireplace in the great room! This house really can be enjoyed any time of the year and by any number of people from couples to large families to a girls' getaway, or as was in my case, some much-needed mommy-daughter time. In fact, we even extended our trip by a day because we simply did not want to leave this slice of Vermont heaven that we were enjoying so much. My daughter teared up upon our departure and said, "I just need to go back in one more time before leaving so I can remember everything!" She is already asking when we can go back! Whether you visit 37 McGovern Lane once or are a repeat guest, one thing is sure: you will make magical memories in the lap of luxury that will last a lifetime!
